When Zebra Technologies acquired Motorola Mobility’s Enterprise division, it set the stage for more than just a merger—it called for a complete visual transformation. We were challenged to create a cohesive brand system that could bridge two established identities and reflect Zebra’s evolving role in enterprise technology.
The Challenge
The logo and core black-and-white palette were already set. Our task was to build a flexible system within those constraints, using a minimal accent palette to introduce hierarchy and visual interest—without losing the brand’s simplicity.
The Approach
Starting with the strength of the new logo, we developed a clean, scalable identity. I led design direction across a wide range of assets: sales collateral, spec sheets, infographics, iconography, illustrations, campaigns, internal programs, and a global partner initiative—all crafted to feel unified and distinctly Zebra.
Results
The final system brought clarity, consistency, and a bold, modern look—empowering internal teams and helping Zebra reassert itself as a unified leader in tech.
Why it Worked
By embracing constraints, we turned a limited palette into a strength. A clear visual strategy, consistent structure, and purposeful use of accent color created an identity that was both refined and highly adaptable.
